How It Works
How it works
- Create a message, photo, or video link with a view limit or timer.
- Share the link or QR. Optionally add a passcode.
- Open once. The content decrypts on the recipient's device, then self-destructs.
- Purge occurs after view/timeout; keys and blobs are removed from the server.
For Live Video, WebRTC negotiates a peer connection using modern codecs. Media isn't archived.
Security posture
- One-view links utilize short TTLs + single-use tokens.
- Optional E2E for 1:1: keys derived from out-of-band exchange or QR handshake.
- Rooms use rotating ICE credentials; TURN falls back when direct P2P fails.
